1. Tax returns are prepared based on the information provided to the Company by you (hereby referred to as the Customer). The Company does not use prior year information (relating to income and expenses) to prepare your tax return. Please do not ask us to do so. All information (excluding carryovers) provided to us must relate to income and expenses for the current year. If information provided to the Company by the Customer is inaccurate or incomplete, the Company is not responsible for any additional taxes or penalties that may be due or imposed by the taxing agencies relating to the omission or the inaccuracy of the information provided. It is not the job of the Company to police the information provided to us by the Customer. If necessary, the Company will ask for certain information to verify identity.
2. Tax return preparation can take 3 or more days to prepare. The time it takes to prepare a tax return depends on the complexity of the return, how organized your documents are, and if we have all the required information to file the tax return. In most cases, individual returns can be prepared within 3-5 days. As business tax returns are more complex, it will take longer to prepare those returns.
